​We have two different types of commercial boats; gill net boats and trap net boats

This tug was built by Burger Boats in 1946, it is 45' with a Caterpillar engine.

This tug is 38' built in 1945 by Burger Boats and powered with a Caterpillar engine.

This tug is a Marinette 42, built by Marinette Marine in 1946 and rehabbed by Hickey Bros. Research in 2012. It is powered with a Cummins engine.

This tug is a Marinette 35, built by Marinette Marine in 1947 and rehabbed by Hickey Bros. Research in 2007. It is powered with a Cummins engine.

Lars


Originally constructed for the WI DNR by Schwarz in Two Rivers WI in 1977. Hickey Bros Research refurbished in 2004 for use as a trap net boat. Powered with a Cummins engine.

Originally a Chris Craft Roamer, this boat was refurbished and repurposed by Hickey Bros Research into a fisheries research vessel in 2007. This is powered with a Cummins engine.

This boat was designed by Hickey Bros. Research and fabricated by Doug's Custom Welding. This is a 46' aluminum trap net boat used on Lake Michigan/Green Bay. Powered with a Cummins engine.

This tug is a Marinette 35, built by Marinette Marine in 1947 and is currently being refurbished by Hickey Bros. Research. It is powered with a Cummins engine.

Sheepshead


This is a Vinette research vessel built in 1955 and Hickey Bros Research refurbished in 1998 & 2008. This is currently used as a research vessel utilized for trawling, trap netting, and gill netting. This is powered by a Caterpillar engine.

This boat was designed by Hickey Bros. Research and fabricated by Doug's Custom Welding in 2019. This is a 38' aluminum research vessel. Powered by a Volvo engine.
