Position: Commercial Fishing Crewmen

Salary: Starting at $20.00/hr. DOE, average 45hrs a week
Who we are: Baileys Harbor Fish Company, LLC is commercial fishery with our home port in Baileys Harbor WI. We began in 1967 and are a family-owned business. We commercial fish on Lake Michigan & Bay of Green Bay. The fish we catch are sold locally to restaurants & markets, we operate our own retail fish/seafood store, and wholesale fish throughout the US. www.baileysharborfishcompany.com
What we do: We commercially harvest and process fish with our busiest season May-November. Our retail store is open Monday-Saturday during the season.
Responsibilities: Crewmen will report to the Captain and Production Manager.

Qualifications: Previous commercial fishing experience is not required, but candidate must be willing to learn and work in a team.
Valid US driver’s license
Must pass drug screening
Always be on time for your shift
Knowledge of boats and water ideal
Positive, can due attitude is a must!

Hickey Bros Research, LLC is seeking to hire a Boat Crewmen to join one of the largest aquatic invasive species suppression projects in the country. Come join our team located at our office in Hope Idaho. Crewman will work primarily on Lake Pond O’rielle.
Who we are: Hickey Bros. Research, LLC is a private fisheries research company. The company’s foundation is in the Wisconsin commercial fishery and was established in 1967. The research division later developed, drawing on the knowledge and expertise obtained from commercial fishing on Lake Michigan & Bay of Green Bay. The research division has roots in the inland Northwest with operations in Hope, ID and Cody, WY, along with the home office in Baileys Harbor, WI. Hickey Bros Research has longstanding professional relationships with state, federal, and tribal agencies focusing on fisheries research.
What we do: Our company’s objective is to provide operational expertise in the areas of fisheries assessment and data collection. Ultimately, Hickey Bros Research collaborates with the scientific community to assist in the management of invasive species and the restoration of native ecosystems. This position does require some travel with accommodations paid for by the company and per diem pay rates apply.
Boat Crewman Responsibilities:
Crewmen work on 32-47 ft. commercial fishing/research vessels.
Deployment and retrieval of gill nets
Setting & Lifting trap nets, anchors, and bouys
Removal of fish from nets
Identifying, sorting, and measuring fish for validation of data
Washing gear on the boat
Changing out gear such as nets, lines, anchors, bouys
General Crewman Responsibilities:
Fabrication of commercial fishing boats including welding & fitting of steel/aluminum
Repair of commercial fishing boats engines
Repair if commercial fishing boats hull, including prep & paint annually
Maintenance of commercial fishing boats electronics
Repair commercial fishing nets
Repair & maintain commercial fishing gear
Assist in the net fabrication including string nets, filling needles, organizing nets for shipment
Clean shop
Lawn & snow removal at the shop
Working on your feet, while also making repetitive motions using hands, arms, legs and back, frequent rotations and twisting and bending at the waist, balancing, stooping, and kneeling
Work includes time on boats with inclement weather
Work day may be longer than 8 hours
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift

Assemble fishing nets & net components per plans and specifications
Responsible for lacing net components together based on customer specifications using a net needle
Assist in inventory management
Package and ship finished products
